About Solar subsidy available in delhi and NCR region Via CELRON Solar

The Indian government has taken a major step forward in making rooftop solar accessible to homeowners and the residential societies. The Honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi launched the National Portal for Rooftop Solar https://solarrooftop.gov.in/ on July 30, 2022, allowing residential consumers from any part of the country to benefit from solar subsidy cashback directly credited to their bank accounts in a transparent and efficient manner.

A 40% Solar Subsidy cashback is available upto a 3kWp solar system capacity and a 20% Solar Subsidy is available for system sizes between 3kWp and 10kWp. So if you install a 5kWp solar system on your home roof, you will get solar subsidy as below:

So, for the 5kWp solar system, you can get a maximum solar subsidy of Rs 72,000 only

This solar subsidy cashback is available across the country and can provide individual households with up to Rs 1,17,000/- directly into their designated bank accounts. Resident Welfare Associations/ Group Housing Societies (RWA/GHS) can also benefit by installing rooftop solar for their common facilities up to 500kWp @10kWp per house, with a subsidy amount of Rs 9000/kW. This means an RWA or GHS with at least 50 homes/apartments/flats can install a 500kW rooftop solar system and get a subsidy cashback of Rs 45,00,000 (subsidy cashback of Rs 45 lacs).

As per the current national solar policy, to avail subsidy, one needs to use domestically manufactured solar panels (DCR Solar Panels). Currently, two type of solar panels are eligible for subsidy under national solar portal:
